Coordinates financial obligations for private pay patients, including managing deposits, collections, and payment plans. Acts as a liaison between physicians and patients to resolve financial liabilities and document customer complaints professionally.
Requires an Associate's degree with 3 years of experience in patient financial services or medical billing, or 5 years of experience without a degree. Must be able to apply financial and collection policies within a hospital business office setting.

Assures that customer needs and/or complaints related to financial services are responded to and documented in a timely and professional manner and in a way that supports organizational goals, system improvements and recovery strategies throughout the organization.
Makes financial arrangements and secures payment for services rendered. Protects reimbursement for services by assisting patients with payment plans and options. Interviews patients and/or families to determine funding sources. Applies financial and collection policies.
Assures that customer needs and/or complaints related to hospital care or financial services are responded to and documented in a timely and professional manner and in a way that supports organizational goals, system improvements and recovery strategies throughout the organization.
