Morgan Stanley Private Bank, NA is seeking a high potential candidate to help grow our Sales Ultra High Net Worth team serving this client segment (UHNW). The Senior Ultra High Net Worth Sales Specialist will collaborate with Private Bankers and Financial Advisors/Private Wealth Advisors in order to further enhance the UHNW client segment by providing support in the areas of business development and lending.
Job Description/Position Responsibilities:
Partner with Private Banker and Financial Advisor/Private Wealth Advisor to support the Firm’s goal of providing private banking products to Ultra High Net Worth clients and/or prospects
Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to identify market trends, advisor engagement opportunities and business development initiatives that support regional growth objectives.
Establish a reputation of execution and excellence while maintaining confidence of the Private Banker, Financial Advisor/Private Wealth Advisor and Firm Management
Partner with Financial Advisors/Private Wealth Advisors to profile their client base, identify and analyze business opportunities and build product awareness in order to succeed in growing new banking revenue. Lead advisor engagement efforts by partnering with Financial Advisors and Private Wealth Advisors to profile client bases, identify complex banking opportunities, develop business plans and increase adoption of UHNW lending and deposit solutions.
Serve as a market leader in UHNW deposit and lending education, extraction, and execution in collaboration with Private Bankers, Financial Advisors, and clients. Lead execution of UHNW deposit initiatives within assigned markets by partnering with advisors, Private Bankers and market leadership to identify, prioritize and capture liquidity opportunities.
Collaborate with internal deposit teams to structure sophisticated client depository strategies to benefit the UHNW client segment.
Responsible for driving growth across all UHNW Lending products – Mortgage, Securities Based Lending, and Non Purpose Lending; Tailored Lending
Serve as a subject matter expert for UHNW lending and deposit solutions, providing education, transaction guidance and strategic consultation to advisors, Private Bankers and clients.
Develop creative and intelligent solutions while advising on client transactions and offering constructive alternatives to further enhance overall relationship
Partners, develops and mentors the UHNW Specialist (VP) to grow skills sets and deliver banking and lending products more efficiently to the assigned territory.
Interview prospects & clients in joint meetings with Private Bankers and Financial Advisors/Private Wealth Advisors.
Pre-screen appropriate transactions and communicate with Private Bankers and/or Financial Advisor/Private Wealth Advisors regarding opportunities
Manage expectations through active communication with Private Bankers and Financial Advisors/Private Wealth Advisors
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in private banking or commercial banking in lending origination and credit analysis
Proven new business development / origination experience with Lending products is required
Advanced knowledge of UHNW credit solutions including securities-based loans, residential mortgage products, home equity lines of credit, and commercial real estate lending.
Strong understanding of UHNW liquidity management, deposit gathering and tailored lending strategies.
Experience in understanding the financial needs of all types of clients
Experience influencing business development initiatives across multiple advisors and branches.
Skills/Abilities:
Maintain poise and presence coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships with sophisticated high net worth clients and their advisors
Ability to develop and coordinate activities of junior team members
Demonstrate creativity and intelligent solutions in structuring sophisticated client transaction
Balance revenue expectations with risk requirements of firm to ensure client and firm’s interests are met
Ability to tactfully and professionally decline transactions while maintain FA and client relationships
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
Detail orientation with exceptional analytical skills
Ability to multi-task; meet deadlines and manage Financial Advisor and client expectations
Good collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment
This position may require approximately 35% travel

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between$150,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
