The driver is responsible for picking up and distributing food donations to various agencies while maintaining accurate logs and vehicle safety. They must also warehouse products according to standards and act as an ambassador for the San Antonio Food Bank.
Applicants must possess a CDL Class B license, a clean driving record, and be trained in forklift or pallet jack operation. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and a willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
General Description: This position is responsible for picking up and securing all food and grocery item donations. The employee is responsible for the distribution of food and grocery items to agencies in the 29 county service areas.
Essential Functions:
Applicants are required to submit to a drug test as part of the hiring process
Qualifications:
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects with hand and arms; talk and hear. Able to lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, color and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This job is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments and frequently will require one to drive to different locations with varying conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
