The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and complex repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance systems to maintain property assets. They also manage the unit turnover process, ensuring vacant apartments are move-in ready within seven days while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2-3 years of experience in property or facilities maintenance. Proficiency in using hand and power tools, along with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, is required.
Description
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the physical assets of the property management portfolio, ensuring all units and common areas are in excellent working order. This position requires a strong focus on customer service, timely completion of work orders, adherence to all safety standards, and compliance with property policies. Completes the make ready process on all vacant apartments in accordance with Vidalta’s expectations and within 7 days of vacating. The ideal candidate possesses a wide range of repair skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Requirements
The performance of the Maintenance Technician will be primarily measured by the following Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
The position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, bend, kneel, walk, and stand for extended periods, and work in all types of weather conditions. The Service Technician must be able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment safely. Required to be on-call for after hours emergencies as scheduled.
