The Occupational Therapist provides community-based therapy services using a client-centred approach to assess and improve functional independence. Responsibilities include developing care plans, documenting outcomes in electronic charts, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Requires a Master's in Occupational Therapy, valid registration with the College of Occupational Therapists, and an ADP Authorization Certificate. Candidates must have at least one year of healthcare experience and a valid driver's license with a personal vehicle.
Common Responsibilities:
Working conditions and physical demands: This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics. Individuals in the role are required to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs throughout the day, with some tasks requiring fine hand movements.
