The technician is responsible for receiving, stocking, and distributing medical supplies across the hospital and clinics to ensure continuity of patient care. They support various operational areas including central receiving, unit PAR stocking, and OR case cart preparation.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of experience in warehouse, inventory, or healthcare materials handling. A valid driver's license and an insurable motor vehicle record are also required for the role.
Summary of Performance Expectations:
Responsible for receiving, stocking, distributing, and managing supplies across CVMC hospital and clinics. Supports operations in central receiving/storeroom, unit PAR stocking, OR case carts, and clinic supply coordination. Provides safe, accurate, and timely materials handling to ensure continuity of patient care. Employees are cross-trained and rotated through specialty areas to ensure service coverage and professional development.
Education & Credentials:
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and insurable MVR for roles involving vehicle operation.
Preferred
Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Healthcare, or related field.
Work Experience:
Required
6+ months warehouse, inventory, or healthcare materials handling experience.
Preferred
Experience in healthcare receiving, stocking, or OR/clinic supply support. Familiarity with Meditech Expanse MM, GHX/Nexus, and mobile inventory tools. Knowledge of vaccine handling, cold chain, and UDI/lot/serial tracking.
