The Occupational Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to restore independence and meaningful activity. They are responsible for documenting clinical outcomes, coordinating care with the clinical team, and maintaining safety standards.
Candidates must hold a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of Iowa and possess current Basic Life Support certification. At least one year of professional experience is preferred, along with strong communication and computer skills.
Follows Mercy's safety guidelines, carries out job-specific safety duties and responsibilities, and promptly reports any unsafe conditions, situations, incidents and injuries.
