Responsible for preparing construction drawings, including site plans, grading, drainage, and utility systems for land development projects. The role involves developing CAD drawings, managing project files, and assembling permit submittals for various government agencies.
Requires a high school diploma and at least five years of experience in civil engineering drafting and design. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and a valid driver's license are essential, while NICET certification and LEED interest are preferred.
As part of a design team, the Designer with our Land Development team will be responsible for the preparation of construction drawings for projects, including but not limited to site plans, grading and drainage plans, roadway alignment, plan and profiles, cross sections, earthwork calculations, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection systems, storm sewer design, intersection layouts and utilization of applicable standard details based on municipality. Duties also include preparation of project specifications and assembling permit submittals (Water Management, FDEP, City, County, and State). This position is based in AVCON's Orlando, Florida office.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
TOOL/PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
As dictated by client site protocol, candidate will be required to utilize proper personal protective equipment including but not limited to gloves, sleeves, leather protectors, hard hats, safety vests, safety glasses and shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, covers, helmets/hoods, and any additional tools required for the task at hand.
