Main responsibilities:
Operate the scales within a warehouse or outdoor setting. All scale tickets must be verified and contain accurate information in regards to customer, material, and weights. This position is a customer facing role that requires providing excellent customer service.
Handle cash transactions: Process payments, issue change, and maintain accurate cash records.
Responsibilities also include tasks related to coverage at the yard’s truck scale, as well as the Non-Ferrous Scale. Those duties include but are not limited to:

Sims Metal, division of Sims Limited, is a global metal recycler with operations that encompass the buying, processing and selling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Our metal recycling operations are located across the United States, Australasia and the United Kingdom and comprise a network of processing facilities – many with deep-water port access supported by an extensive network of feeder yards.
