The Plant Buyer executes purchases for operating supplies and maintenance requirements while monitoring and replenishing spare part inventory. They are also responsible for optimizing inventory levels and tracking spending through SAP to improve key performance measures.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required along with at least one year of related experience, preferably in the consumer-packaged goods industry. Proficiency in SAP, PMC software, and Microsoft Office applications is essential.

The Plant Buyer is responsible for executing purchases for plant operating supplies and plant maintenance requirements. The position is also responsible for monitoring maintenance spare part inventory levels and replenishing as required. The Plant Buyer makes contributions to improve longer term KPM (Key Performance Measure) results through leading and supporting various improvement initiatives. These contributions include organizing stock rooms, minimizing spare part inventory levels, and minimizing replacement part costs through supplier price checks and setting up alternate suppliers.
