The Maintenance Technician performs routine preventative maintenance and repairs on building mechanical systems, equipment, and interiors. They are also responsible for groundskeeping, cleaning vacated units, and providing professional customer service to residents.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. and at least 3 years of experience in general building maintenance. Proficiency in various construction trades and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks are required.
The Maintenance Technician performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems and equipment of the building interior and exterior. The employee is required for maintaining the clean and neat appearance of all assigned areas.
The maintenance technician must possess a variety of skills encompassing most of the construction trades, as well as be able to perform all the responsibilities of a groundskeeper, should the situation warrant. The maintenance technician must always remain aware of their limitations and request the services of a professional when the worker’s lack of expertise requires it.
