La Bibliothèque publique d’Ottawa (BPO) offre des services de bibliothèque et d’information accessibles et novateurs à l’échelle de la ville d’Ottawa, qui répondent aux besoins particuliers de diverses communautés, lesquels sont fournis par l’entremise d’une gamme de moyens, selon une approche axée sur le public.
Le titulaire supervise le système de bibliothèque intégré (SBI) et les applications connexes, assure la maintenance des bases de données, conçoit ou génère des rapports statistiques sur le SBI, fournit une assistance au personnel et aux utilisateurs, assure la liaison et la consultation avec la direction afin de définir les possibilités d'amélioration et participe aux équipes de projet, aux comités et aux groupes de travail, le cas échéant.
Il exécute son travail dans le contexte des politiques et du cadre de la culture organisationnelle de la Bibliothèque exprimé dans l’énoncé de mission, les valeurs de base et les lignes directrices relatives à l’expérience de la clientèle de même que dans les énoncés de position de la Fédération canadienne des associations de bibliothèques sur la liberté intellectuelle, la diversité et l’inclusion, en accordant une importance particulière à la prestation d’un excellent service à la clientèle.
Diplôme de bibliotechnicien obtenu au terme de deux années d’études.
Au moins deux années d’expérience pertinente dans le domaine du soutien en matière d’informatique et de bases de données dans un organisme aux succursales multiples.
