About the job:
At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." As a Quantitative User Experience Researcher (Quant UXR), you make this possible. You will join a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating closely with Engineering and Product Management to create industry-leading, innovative products.
You will drive impact at all stages of development by investigating user behavior through empirical methods like logs analysis, survey research, and regression. We value diverse educational experiences—from Computer Science to Psychology—and require a blend of behavioral research design, statistical proficiency, and programming skills to uncover actionable insights. Beyond the work, you will grow within a supportive Quant UXR community offering mentorship, regular meetups, and exclusive internal tools to help you thrive.
This role focuses on mixed-methods UX research with a strong quantitative emphasis to drive growth strategies and app foundations. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping our understanding of users across the entire user lifecycle and within the app's foundational experience to drive growth strategies for Search. You will design and execute research that uncovers opportunities for growth, measure the impact of initiatives, and provide insights into user needs and issues. You will be working with large datasets, statistical analysis, and core qualitative methods. You will be responsible for understanding how different parts of the app ecosystem and growth strategies interact.
In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. To do that, we need to solve complex engineering challenges and expand our infrastructure, while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience that people around the world rely on. In joining the Search team, you'll have an opportunity to make an impact on billions of people globally.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and data scientists to identify research needs, execute studies, and drive impact from insights.
Explore and implement AI tools and techniques within research workflows to improve efficiency, depth of analysis, and synthesis.
Communicate research findings and recommendations effectively to audiences, including cross-functional partners and leadership.
