We’re seeking a Grants Accountant to play a critical role in sustaining and strengthening the funding that fuels our life-saving work. If you’re detail-driven, collaborative, and motivated by mission, this is an opportunity to make a real impact through your accounting expertise.
What you’ll do
In this highly impactful role, you’ll ensure the accuracy, compliance, and timely reimbursement of our diverse public funding portfolio by:
Preparing and submitting invoices for 30+ government contracts (city, county, state, and federal)
Monitoring grant budgets and expenditures to ensure compliance with funder requirements
Supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Collaborating with program and payroll teams to ensure accurate grant billings
Tracking accounts receivable and following up to support timely reimbursements
Maintaining strong documentation and supporting internal and external audits
You’ll work closely with the Accounting & Contracts Manager and be a trusted partner in maintaining the financial health of a mission-driven organization.
Requirements
What you bring
5 years of experience in accounts receivable, staff accounting, or bookkeeping
Strong Excel skills and comfort with accounting systems (Sage Intacct a plus)
Experience with government contract billing and high-volume invoicing
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and deadline management skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field

- King County 2-1-1: Provides expert assistance in finding community resources and health/human services. Need help but don’t know where to turn? Dial 2-1-1.
- Teen Link: An anonymous and confidential help line for youth, answered by teen volunteers. Phone and chat are available every evening from 6-10pm. Teen Link also provides youth suicide prevention trainings in area schools.
- WA Warm Line: A statewide peer support help line for people living with mental illness.
- Survivors of Suicide: Support groups for anyone who's lost a loved one to suicide.
