Operate heavy machinery including loaders, skid steers, and excavators to sort recycled materials and load trailers. Perform routine equipment maintenance and ensure a safe, clean working environment while interacting with customers to resolve service issues.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment. Ability to follow safety procedures and pass all pre-employment requirements is mandatory.

Our priority is to make sure we hire safe equipment operators that care about the safety of our team and the service provided to our customers. As an equipment operator with us the minimum responsibilities are:
Operating heavy equipment such as: front-end loaders, skid steers and excavator
Ensuring recycled material is sorted into the appropriate piles and loaded into trailers as needed
Performing routine inspection and maintenance on equipment
Ensuring a safe and clean working space for all operators and employees
Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues
2+ years’ experience running heavy equipment
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements
Competitive Wages: $33-35/h
Full-time hours: 9-10 hours per day Monday to Friday
