FSM Group, LLC, an aviation fuel management company with multiple locations in the US, has an immediate need for multiple Mechanic positions for ground services equipment maintenance at its JFK airport operation. The Mechanic position's primary responsibility is to ensure a variety of ground services equipment are operational on an ongoing basis and meet safety requirements. Ground services equipment include, but are not limited to, fuel carts, hydrant trucks, luggage tugs, deicing trucks, and catering trucks.
Essential Duties:
Preventative and routine repair services.
Coolant and fluid checks.
Brake checks and tire changes.
Troubleshooting and diagnostics.
Repairs and refurbishments of equipment.
Conduct safety checks on service equipment.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
18 years of age or older;
Reliable transportation;
Eligible to work in the United States;
Valid state driver’s license with clean motor vehicle record;
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and federal fingerprint background check.
1-2 years of mechanical experience of any kind (preferably auto mechanic, box truck, HVAC, refrigeration systems, etc.)
Mechanical minds who enjoy problem-solving
General knowledge of carburetors, alternators, starter motors, batteries, hydraulics, small engines, radiators, and diesel engines
Experience working on Ground Support Equipment is preferred, but not required.
Electrical and diesel skills are preferred, but not required.
Additional Qualifications:
Ability to problem solve;
Basic mathematical skills;
Demonstrated regular, predictable attendance at the airport location;
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals;
Ability to communicate in English while on the job with customers, coworkers, or supervisors who only speak English, in emergencies or other situations in which employees must speak a common language to promote safety;
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form;
Basic understanding of computer applications and data entries.
