The Head Lifeguard is responsible for maintaining a safe aquatic environment and supervising staff in the absence of the Aquatic Director. They must perform rescues, administer emergency care, and ensure facility operations meet safety and chemical standards.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a minimum of 2 years of lifeguarding experience. Required certifications include YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR/AED, and O2 certification.
Under the Aquatics Director/Coordinator, the Head Lifeguard is responsible for maintaining a safe aquatic environment. In the absence of the Aquatic Director or Coordinator, the Head Lifeguard will supervise staff, maintain facility operations, assist in the administrative duties of the Aquatics Department and lifeguard to ensure the safety of members and participants. Provide excellent customer service to members and participants.
