The incumbent will administer medication to inmates and monitor their vital signs while assisting medical staff with physical exams and procedures. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining security within the facility by checking doors and windows during rotating shifts.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and hold a valid state certification as a Medical Assistant. A valid driver's license and a minimum age of 21 are also required for this position.

Medical Assistant PRN who has a passion for providing the highest
quality care in an institutional setting. 2. Obtain,
monitor, record and report vital signs and patient's condition as needed.
The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following
functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job
performance requirements.
1. Administer
medication to inmates/residents under the direct supervision of the Health
Services Administrator.
3. Prepare
patients for physical exams, procedures and treatments.
4. Assist
nurse/physician with physical exams, procedures and treatments.
5. Engage
in functions in confined areas that include such things as working
rotating shifts and physically checking the doors, windows and other areas
to verify they are secure.
Qualifications: CoreCivic is a Drug-Free Workplace & EOE including Disability/Veteran.
High
school diploma, GED certification or equivalent or greater.
Must
be state certified as a Medical Assistant in the state of employment or
meet the state guidelines for exceptions to certification.
A
valid driver's license is required.
