The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive respiratory assessments and management plans for patients, including mechanical ventilation and airway management. They also provide clinical leadership during emergencies and participate in the education of students and external partners.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and hold current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario. A current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required, along with 1 to 2 years of related experience.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory assessments and management plans for patients with respiratory conditions. Our RRTs are front-line healthcare providers who provide respiratory therapy service 24/7 and work within multiple interdisciplinary teams throughout the Centre.
