Candidates need a background in broadcast or visual podcasts with proficiency in Adobe Premiere and multi-cam editing. Essential requirements include knowledge of the YouTube backend, media law, and experience working to tight deadlines in a newsroom environment.
About The Role
An exciting opportunity to join The Telegraph’s audio department, being part of pioneering the visual output of our podcast slate.
Alongside the wider team you will lead on the delivery and development of the visual aspect of our always-on podcasts, encouraging the show producers to develop and mould the editorial within a video context. You will work in collaboration with dozens of the UK's best reporters, correspondents and writers.
The role will include video production and editing of weekly shows, including multi-cam edits turned around often within one day.
The ideal candidate will have a background in broadcast, documentaries, or visualised podcasts. They will be able to demonstrate experience of working accurately and to tight deadlines and the technical and creative skills to make our podcast shine. A knowledge of the YouTube backend and how to best optimise our podcasts for the platform is essential.
A love of and a knowledge of the wider podcast landscape are also essential, especially the role video has to play.
