Full job description
Ko Mātou – About Us
Kia Hanga I Te Ao, E Ora Ai, E Tupu Ai, Te Tangata Me Te Kainga. At ANZ, we're shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.
Mō te tūranga - About the role
As the Senior Manager, Dot Loves Data, you'll play a pivotal role in helping ANZ unlock greater value from data to deliver better outcomes for our customers and the business. Reporting to the Program Lead, Personalisation, you'll lead ANZ's strategic partnership with Dot Loves Data, ensuring the platform continues to support our customer personalisation ambitions and deliver meaningful enterprise-wide impact.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy, data, technology and commercial leadership.
You'll shape the direction and performance of the partnership, translating data capability into tangible business outcomes while building strong organisational adoption. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the bank, you'll champion effective governance, identify opportunities for innovation and growth, and help embed Dot Loves Data as a strategic capability across ANZ.
Banking is changing and we’re changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.
Role Location: Wellington
Role Type: Permanent, Fulltime
Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?
Working across a broad range of stakeholders, you'll balance strategy, governance, commercial outcomes and partnership leadership to ensure Dot Loves Data continues to deliver value across ANZ.
Some of your day-to-day activities will include:
Leading ANZ's strategy for Dot Loves Data, aligning priorities with customer, marketing and enterprise data objectives.
Driving commercial outcomes by increasing adoption, maximising value realisation and identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to influence decision-making, secure buy-in and embed data-led ways of working.
Identifying and scaling high-impact use cases that deliver measurable business benefits and extend the value of the platform across ANZ.
Providing oversight of key data, risk and compliance obligations, ensuring the responsible use of data and strong governance practices.
Managing ANZ's partnership with Dot Loves Data, including strategic planning, vendor management, contractual agreements and investment priorities.
This is a highly visible role offering plenty of variety, influence and the opportunity to help shape ANZ's approach to data-driven decision-making. You'll be encouraged to bring fresh thinking, challenge the status quo and make a meaningful impact while continuing to grow your own capability and experience.
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
A talent for connecting data to business priorities, using insights to influence stakeholders, shape thinking, and support strategic decision-making.
Experience developing strategy and delivering results, balancing long-term vision with practical execution.
Strong stakeholder leadership skills, with the confidence to influence and engage senior leaders across the bank.
A solid understanding of data, analytics, customer insights or data-driven business models within a large or complex environment.
A governance and risk mindset, with experience operating in regulated environments and balancing innovation with appropriate controls.
The ability to lead through ambiguity and change, managing competing priorities while building alignment and momentum.
You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills. At ANZ a growth mindset is at the heart of our culture, so if you have most of these things in your toolbox, we’d love to hear from you.
He aha te take e uru ai koe ki a mātou? - So, why join us?
From the moment you join ANZ, you'll be part of a work whānau striving towards a common purpose: shaping a world where communities thrive.
But it's not just our customers who'll feel your impact. You'll feel it too. Because at ANZ, you'll have the resources, opportunities, and community you need to take the next big step in your career.
We're a diverse community at ANZ in different roles, different locations, doing different things. That's why we have a range of flexible working arrangements, so our people can 'make work, work for them'. We also provide a range of benefits including access to wellbeing services and discounts on selected products and services from ANZ and more.
At ANZ you'll be part of an organisation where the different backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences of our people are celebrated. That's because we're committed to building a workplace that reflects the diversity of Aotearoa New Zealand's communities and this is one of the reasons that has inspired us to develop a multi-year Te Ao Māori Strategy called Tākiri-Ā-Rangi.
