About the role
A great opportunity for an experienced Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to join the Lytton Refinery. This role is responsible for developing and implementing civil and structural asset strategies that maintain asset integrity while optimising reliability, safety, and profitability. The position provides specialist civil and structural engineering support across the refinery, partnering with Maintenance and Operations teams, and delivering discipline engineering and design expertise for a range of projects.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical authority for civil and structural engineering standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety and business requirements.
Lead development and implementation of governance frameworks, standards, procedures and work practices across civil and structural assets.
Support risk management activities, including technical input into HSE investigations and regulatory reportable incidents.
Conduct complex engineering inspections, assessments and remediation planning to maintain asset integrity, reliability and compliance.
Evaluate and deliver engineering solutions, testing programs and feasibility studies to support operational and strategic business objectives.
Partner with stakeholders to identify business requirements, perform cost-benefit analyses and implement sustainable improvements to processes, products and organisational capability.
Qualification & Experience:
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic lifecycle plans for civil and structural assets, infrastructure and equipment to optimise performance, reliability and long-term value.
Proven people leadership capability, with a strong track record of providing technical leadership, mentoring and capability development for civil and structural engineering teams.
Experienced in managing engineering resources to ensure business priorities, operational requirements and project objectives are effectively supported.
Strong ability to leverage emerging technologies and innovative engineering practices to enhance asset performance, reliability and business outcomes.
Demonstrated success leading complex engineering design and development activities using best-practice methodologies, tools, standards and governance frameworks.
Skilled in facilitating stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering workshops and user acceptance processes to develop practical and effective solutions.
Proven experience conducting business analysis and gap assessments to identify improvement opportunities, support strategic decision-making and drive organisational change initiatives.
