About the Role - Tēnei tūranga:
We're looking for an experienced Senior Reporting Analyst to lead our reporting and business intelligence capability and help shape the future of data and reporting across Business Registries.
This is a senior technical and strategic role with responsibility for leading the design, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of the Business Registries intelligence and reporting environment.
You'll be the business lead for data strategy, driving strategic thinking around data opportunities, reporting capability, and information management.
You'll also play a key leadership role within the Reporting Team, supporting workflow management, capability development, and best practice reporting.
Working across a geographically dispersed team based in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across Business Registries, MBIE, and external customers to deliver insightful reporting and data-driven decision making.

Skills and Experience Required
Proven experience delivering high-quality reporting and analytics solutions in a complex environment.
Extensive experience working with business intelligence and reporting tools.
Strong expertise with SAP BusinessObjects, including Universe design and development, report creation, and dashboard development.
Experience translating business requirements into reporting and analytics solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work with complex datasets and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Experience leading projects, driving continuous improvement, and influencing decision making.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Knowledge of public sector environments and processes would be advantageous.
