The gardener will maintain attractive village gardens and outdoor areas while ensuring all grounds and shared spaces remain clean, tidy, and safe. They will also collaborate with management to plan maintenance tasks and report on budgets.
Candidates should have experience in gardening or landscaping and ideally hold a relevant horticultural qualification. A strong work ethic, physical fitness, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.

We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable and experienced Gardener to join our Summerset at Karaka village for a fixed term period, where you be supporting the Property Manager with the day-to-day maintenance of the village gardens and outdoor areas. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in helping to create attractive landscapes, and values working in a community-focused environment.
Key responsibilities:
This is a full time 40 hour fixed term role from August - October 2026, Monday - Friday 8 - 4:30pm.
Ideally, you’ll bring experience in gardening or landscaping and relevant horticultural qualification—but what matters most to us is your genuine passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces and your warm, respectful approach to people from all walks of life.
You’ll be a team player who can also work independently, managing your time effectively to ensure daily tasks are completed to a high standard. Being well-organised, efficient, and physically fit will help you thrive in this hands-on role and deliver great service to our residents.
