As a Senior Technical Product Manager for AWS Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and technical roadmap for one of AWS's core cloud computing services. You will work closely with engineering, business, and customer teams to identify customer needs, translate them into product requirements, and deliver innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Key job responsibilities
Serve as the technical subject matter expert for the EC2 service, with a deep understanding of its underlying architecture, features, and capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and support, to gather customer insights, define product strategy, and prioritize the product roadmap.
Translate complex technical requirements into clear and actionable product specifications, ensuring alignment across the organization.
Continuously monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.
Effectively communicate product vision, roadmap, and key initiatives to both internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Act as a technical advocate for customers, representing their needs and challenges to the product development team.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the broader AWS ecosystem and how EC2 integrates with other AWS services.
Provide technical guidance and support to the sales and professional services teams to assist with complex customer engagements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute successful product launches, driving adoption and customer satisfaction.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience - 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience - 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience - 7+ years of full product life cycle experience - 5+ years of P&L management and pricing experience - 5+ years of creating written docs for development of new products experience - 5+ years of enterprise security product experience - 5+ years of product management in the cloud computing technology space experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, finance, or economics - Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market - Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations - Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
