Full job description
We are UMG, the Universal Music Group. We are the world’s leading music company. In everything we do, we are committed to artistry, innovation and entrepreneurship. We own and operate a broad array of businesses engaged in recorded music, music publishing, merchandising, and audiovisual content in more than 60 countries. We identify and develop recording artists and songwriters, and we produce, distribute and promote the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful music to delight and entertain fans around the world.
Famehouse, a division of UMG, is the preeminent leader in merchandise & D2C solutions in music, defining & delivering the industry’s best-in-class service to connect artists with their fans. Established & headquartered in Philly, Famehouse powers merch and D2C for UMG’s labels, artists, and Bravado. Our success & culture is fueled by collaboration—both within FH and with our partners. We are passionate about the impact of D2C & merchandise for artists, providing a full-service solution to grow an artist’s owned business across channels, including strategy, creative, merchandising, fulfillment, customer service, technology, and more.
How we LEAD:
Famehouse is looking for a Senior Manager, Revenue Planning & Analysis to help us build stronger revenue projections, planning, and business visibility across our D2C and merchandise services for artists & labels.
This role will sit within the Insights team and work closely with account teams, channel leads, finance, merchandise planning, operations, and label partners. The right person will help us better understand where revenue is coming from, where the opportunities are, and how we can make smarter, more proactive decisions across D2C, touring, and retail merchandise.
We’re looking for someone who is highly analytical, strategically oriented, and comfortable turning messy inputs into clear, useful planning tools and recommendations. Ideal candidates bring a strong existing understanding of the nuances of the music industry, and have an ability to balance both art and science in their work.
How You’ll CREATE:
Drive revenue planning and analysis across D2C, touring, and retail merchandise channels
Partner with account managers, channel and commercial teams to build, pressure-test, and refine artist and campaign projections across the roster
Develop practical forecasting models, planning frameworks, and projection methodologies that can scale across the business
Work closely with merchandise planning, finance, operations, and label commercial teams to align on assumptions, timelines, reporting, and planning processes
Lead recurring executive reporting, compiling business reviews, and performance analysis
Identify risks, opportunities, and trends across artists, product categories, campaigns, and sales channels
Help shape the roadmap for stronger forecasting tools, reporting infrastructure, and planning workflows
Build clear analytical frameworks and reporting solutions that improve forecasting accuracy and commercial visibility
Help establish shared best practices for revenue forecasting, commercial planning, and business reviews across teams
Bring your VIBE:
5–8 years of experience in forecasting, commercial analytics, retail planning, ecommerce strategy, business insights, or a similar analytical role
Experience in a major music company is strongly preferred
Strong analytical and modeling skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and business functions
Experience building forecasting methodologies, planning processes, dashboards, and/or executive reporting
Familiarity with ecommerce, merchandise planning, retail analytics, touring, consumer products, or artist/label businesses
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
Comfort working cross-functionally with finance, merchandising, operations, commercial, and account teams
Ability to operate in an evolving, fast-moving business where the answer is not always obvious
Experience leading business performance reviews, with a strong understanding of P&L drivers and the ability to translate sales performance into strategic recommendations
Bonus points for experience building forecasting models and analytical tools, including leveraging modern data and AI capabilities to improve planning, forecasting, and decision-making
Familiarity with SQL, BigQuery, LookML, or similar analytical technologies, with the ability to prototype datasets, reporting layers, or forecasting solutions in partnership with technical teams
A proactive, curious, and solutions-oriented mindset
