About Marchay
Marchay is a curated, membership-based travel service and community for some of the world’s most sophisticated travelers. Recognized by leading publications as a premier luxury travel service, Marchay provides a complete, high-touch solution for managing members’ high-end travel needs. A key benefit of membership is dedicated, unbiased service from a highly experienced travel team. Marchay offers unlimited, bespoke trip planning and execution, access to pre-vetted private homes and villas, and preferred partner benefits at over 1,200 luxury hotels worldwide.
Help Shape the Future of Luxury Travel Content
Marchay is seeking an exceptional writer, editor, and content strategist to help define the voice of one of the world's leading luxury travel brands.
This isn't a traditional marketing or social media role.
As our Head of Luxury Travel Storytelling & Content, you'll transform extraordinary travel experiences into compelling editorial content that inspires our members and empowers our advisors. From iconic hotels and hidden gems to unforgettable itineraries and insider recommendations, you'll help tell the stories behind the world's most exceptional travel experiences—while working alongside experts who live and breathe luxury travel.
In your first year, you'll build the editorial foundation that powers Marchay's member experience and AI platform. As that foundation grows, you'll expand into newsletters, partnerships, and social content that elevate our brand and shape the future of luxury travel storytelling.
If you're passionate about exceptional writing, world-class travel, and creating content that inspires discerning travelers, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
*Please note that this is a remote role
Build Marchay's Content Foundation
Own and continuously improve Marchay's internal content library.
Rewrite and elevate destination guides, hotel descriptions, restaurant recommendations, itineraries, concierge resources, and other member-facing content into a consistent editorial voice.
Partner closely with our Travel Advisors, Concierge team, Operations, and Engineering to organize and migrate content into Marchay's evolving AI platform.
Develop scalable editorial standards, content governance, and workflows that ensure consistency and long-term quality.
Audit and refresh existing content to maintain accuracy, relevance, and a premium member experience.
Lead Editorial & Communications
Develop and manage an editorial calendar for member, prospect, and partnership communications.
Write thoughtful, sophisticated content across newsletters, blog posts, travel features, and other editorial initiatives.
Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to uncover unique travel insights and stories.
Measure engagement and continuously refine content based on performance.
Support Strategic Partnerships & Brand Growth
Create content that supports strategic partnerships and partner landing pages.
Repurpose editorial content across multiple channels while maintaining a consistent voice.
Oversee Marchay's social media presence through curated, high-quality content and thoughtful storytelling once the internal content foundation has been established.
Track content and social performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree required.
Several years of experience in editorial, content strategy, or communications within luxury travel, experience as a travel advisor preferred.
Experience writing polished editorial or long-form content with a refined editorial voice.
Experience editing and proofreading written content to a high standard.
Experience partnering with Travel Advisors and Leadership.
Available during Eastern Time business hours.
Competitive Compensation: Annual salary of 70,000-85,000 USD/year with a performance-based, discretionary bonus
Comprehensive Benefits: Fully covered medical, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) Plan: Access to our retirement savings program
Generous Time Off: Ample PTO plus company holidays to recharge and reset
Career Growth: Opportunity to develop toward a senior leadership role, with increasing ownership and strategic decision-making over time.
Flexibility: Remote work environment with the ability to manage your schedule effectively
