Job Description
At U.S. Bank, our Healthcare Business Banking Relationship Managers (BBRMs) don’t just manage portfolios — they build businesses, shape strategy, and drive growth for healthcare clients navigating today’s complex financial landscape.
In this high‑impact role, you’ll serve as the primary advisor to healthcare practices and organizations with revenues generally between $5MM and $50MM, owning the full client relationship from origination through long‑term expansion. You’ll bring a consultative, entrepreneurial mindset—leveraging the full capabilities of a leading financial institution to deliver sophisticated credit structures, treasury solutions, and integrated financial strategies that fuel client success.
Key responsibilities
Own and grow a portfolio of Healthcare and Practice Finance relationships, serving as the trusted advisor for clients with revenues between $5MM and $50MM, including physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), dental service organizations (DSO), specialty practices, and other healthcare businesses.
Drive new client acquisition and revenue growth through proactive business development, COIs, and industry networking within the healthcare ecosystem
Lead complex financial conversations and structure credit solutions including cashflow lending, acquisition financing, recapitalizations, buyouts, commercial real estate, ground up construction, and enterprise value-based lending structures.
Deliver holistic financial solutions by coordinating seamlessly across:
Treasury Management
Payments
Credit Cards
Personal Wealth and Advisory partners
Capital Markets
Equipment Finance
Advise healthcare clients on growth initiatives including de novo expansion, acquisitions, physician ownership transitions, and healthcare real estate financing.
Maintain full accountability for the client relationship while orchestrating internal partnerships in a large, matrixed organization
Apply strong credit judgment and risk discipline while balancing growth, profitability, and client experience
Anticipate client needs by staying ahead of healthcare industry trends, regulatory shifts, and market conditions
Who You Are
You’re a seasoned relationship manager with a hunter‑mentor mindset—equally comfortable opening new doors, navigating complex credit, and acting as a strategic advisor to healthcare owners and executives. You thrive in roles where influence matters, autonomy is earned, and success is measured by lasting client relationships and growth.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Ten or more years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills & Experience
Healthcare and Practice Finance banking experience, including complex credit structuring
Experience with clinic‑ and center‑based Commercial Real Estate transactions
Proven success developing new business and COIs within the healthcare industry
Experience managing loan structures larger than $2.5MM and complex credit requests
Background serving companies and practices with revenues up to $50MM
Demonstrated ability to partner across Treasury Management, Payments, and Wealth Management, Capital Markets, and other special banking teams.

Proficiency with MS Office, Salesforce, and nCino
Agile, innovative problem‑solver with sound judgment
Executive‑level communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
Knowledge of healthcare ownership structures, reimbursement dynamics, and industry trends affecting physician practices and lower middle markets healthcare organizations.
