The Rehabilitative Services Coordinator is responsible for the daily coordination of an assigned program or area, including oversight of rehabilitation personnel. In addition, to these responsibilities, the individual also performs the core functions of a therapist (PT, OT, or SLP). This role collaborates with leadership to identify opportunities for improvement, resolve issues, and enhance departmental processes. All duties are performed in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Essential Functions
Coordinates the daily operations of the assigned program or area, ensuring consistent and efficient workflow
Collaborates with the other coordinators and department leaders to support integrated, effective service delivery across programs
Evaluates patients, develops individualized care plans, administers treatment, monitors progress, adjusts interventions as needed, and makes discharge recommendations in accordance with national discipline-specific association guidelines
Provides age-and developmentally appropriate care, incorporating patient and family needs into all aspects of service delivery
Responds to new patient evaluations within timeframes outlined in departmental policies and procedures
Monitors for and responds promptly to changes in patient condition and environmental safety concerns
Accurately documents all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, outcomes, and education provided to patients and families
Establishes measurable patient care goals with clearly defined timelines for achievement
Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and families in accordance with safety standards and hospital protocols
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or
Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Related Field
License/Registration- Issued by Florida or Compact State
Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathologist
Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Work Experience and Additional Information
