The NICU Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care by developing individualized care plans and monitoring patient responses in a critical care setting. They also collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, provide patient education, and act decisively during neonatal emergencies.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or an Associate's degree with five years of relevant experience, along with at least two years of NICU experience. Required certifications include California RN licensure, AHA BLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with CNA.
What You Will Do
The Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) Registered Nurse at the Clinical Nurse II (CN II) level is a vital part of the NICU team, responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This role requires advanced competencies, specialized certifications, and a strong ability to function autonomously while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
