Western Canada: Regional Market Access Manager (RMAM)
This role reports to the Director, Field Market Access.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional Market Access Manager (RMAM) is part of a team at Lilly Canada responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with priority payers and related stakeholders with responsibility for Western Canada. Key responsibilities include preparing, gaining, improving, and maintaining market access for all of Lilly’s innovative products.
An essential part of the role is to collaborate with the Pricing Reimbursement and Access Head Office team to support national PRA brand strategy development, CDA-AMC strategy and submission. Additionally, the Western Canada RMAM will support, when required pCPA negotiations, executing provincial listing agreements and ensuring timely formulary listings with all public payers. Monitoring the reimbursement environment and health ecosystem in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories and the Yukon and sharing regional insights to support the Lilly access objectives is an on-going expectation (examples include but not limited to time to provincial drug plan listings, reforms and integration with private payers.
Importantly, the Western Canada RMAM works in partnership with Corporate Affairs (Stakeholder Engagement Managers), GR/Policy Manager, Medical Affairs, and Marketing colleagues to ensure access and reimbursement for all newly launched products in Canada. The RMAM must have a deep understanding of Lilly’s therapeutic areas and brands and be knowledgeable of health technology assessments and provincial reimbursement processes to fulfil their responsibilities.
This RMAM role is field based, with occasional travel to payer and stakeholder meetings throughout Western Canada as discussed with the supervisor and business needs. Head office meetings in Toronto expected participation 3-4 times a year.
At Lilly Canada, we have two levels for these positions based on the candidate’s experience, background, and qualifications. The expected compensation is:
Level 1: $91,500 - $134, 200
Level 2: $117,750 - $172,700
This position is also eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in Lilly’s bonus program and a company car.

Key responsibilities of the RMAM role are highlighted below:
Identify key decision-makers in all 6 Western provinces and Territories. Establish relationships based on mutual respect and trust with drug plan administrators and decision-makers
Build and maintain Account Plans that are aligned to the national PRA brand strategy, with actionable tactical plans and metrics that support the national brand access goals.
In collaboration with the PRA Head office team, develop materials for payer decision-makers and budget holders to prepare for the market entry of Lilly’s pipeline products.
Supporting reimbursement and access stakeholders
Coordinate with the Corporate Affairs, PR/Communications and GR/Policy Teams to provide payer insights & expertise on discussions with stakeholders including patient advocacy organizations and the political and bureaucratic level beyond drug plans.
Collaborate with the PRA Head Office team to ensure timely development of formulary submissions that meet all provincial requirements
With the PRA Head Office team, align on the HTA requirements for the CDA-AMC submission and act as primary contact for provincial formulary listings, and selected Pan Canadian Pricing Alliance negotiations, working in close coordination with the PRA head office Team and Associate Director of Pricing.
Provide support to the PRA Head Office team on HTA and pCPA strategies including but not limited to, stakeholder mapping exercise, development of advocacy objectives in key therapy areas, levering insights to inform value propositions; and prioritize work across therapy areas.
Provide regular updates to PRA about provincial drug plan (ie BC Pharmacare newsletter) monitor the new competitor listings competitors
Support Western Canada sales teams by providing them timely updates related to their products and participating at their regional meeting whenever possible and remain available for teleconferences
SKILLS
Education and training:
Significant market access or related experience in Western Canada (5+ years); Familiarity with Lilly therapeutic areas of focus and products is an asset.
Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
Strong science background is an asset. Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with and influence diverse customer groups and positively represent Eli Lilly at all times.
Negotiation experience is an asset. They should be highly self-directed with strong initiative and effort.
The ability to problem solve for diverse issues is necessary.
Highly developed planning and organizational skills are also necessary.

$91,500 - $172,700
Full-time equivalent employees may also be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
