About the role
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for consolidating monthly financial results at the Skills level, maintaining data integrity, and collaborating with various branch financial analysts to validate inputs and investigate anomalies. You will perform detailed variance analysis, produce executive level reporting packs and draft financial commentary highlighting key trends, risks and opportunities to support strategic decision making and leadership reviews.

About you
We are seeking a detail-driven and analytical finance professional to lead the consolidation of financial data and management reporting services for the Skills VET Training budget and expenditure.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong experience in financial data consolidation, management reporting and variance analysis at a complex organizational level • A commitment to maintaining rigorous data integrity and delivering accurate results within strict timeframes • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
• Demonstrated experience of management reporting & consolidation experience in large scale complex organisations. • Degree Qualification in Business, accounting & finance. • Membership to a recognised professional accounting body and/or equivalent workplace experience. • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
