Maintenance Planner
The Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for developing safe, executable, cost-effective, and high-quality maintenance work plans for the Edmonton Net Zero Hydrogen and Energy Complex (ENZHEC). The primary role of Maintenance at ENZHEC is the prevention of failure.

Key Job Responsibilities:
Ensures adherence to AirProductsoccupational safety, process safety, environmental, quality, and maintenance standards, procedures, and work practices.
Plans scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of ENZHEC assets.
Screens, scopes, and plans approved corrective, preventive, predictive, regulatory, and improvement work orders in SAP PM/CMMS.
Develops complete maintenance work packages including job plans,labourestimates, material requirements, drawings, vendor documentation, procedures, permits, and safety requirements.
Maintainsadisciplined plannedmaintenance backlog including priorities, readiness status, material availability, and schedule risks.
Supports the rolling four-week maintenance schedule by ensuring all planned work is execution-ready.
Coordinates with Operationsregardingequipment availability, lockout requirements, production priorities, and maintenance windows.
Coordinates with Warehouse, Supply Chain, contractors, and vendors to ensure material and service availability.
Creates andmaintainsequipmentBOMs, task lists, standard job plans, and planning templates within SAP PM.
Supports spare parts optimization and materials management processes.
Participates in planning meetings, scheduling meetings, shutdown planning meetings, contractor coordination meetings, and risk reviews.
Supports turnaround (TAR), outage, and major shutdown planning activities.
Reviews completed work orders and updates planning standards and historical records based on lessons learned.
Tracks and communicates planning performance metrics.
Supports root cause analyses (RCA), bad actor reviews, and maintenance strategy improvements.
Supports Management of Change (MOC), HAZOP, JSA, and project handovers asrequired.
Supports commissioning, start-up, and early-life reliability activities.
Develops maintenance contractor work scopes and execution packages.
Decision Making Authority and Problem Solving:
Work is assigned in terms of priorities, maintenance strategies, operating requirements, safety expectations, and critical businessobjectives.
Makes day-to-day planning decisionsregardingjob scope development, work package completeness, resource identification, material requirements, and work readiness.
Identifiesplanning constraints, material shortages, technical information gaps, safety concerns, and schedule risks and recommends corrective actions.
Applies established maintenance procedures, SAP PM practices, engineering documentation, vendor information, and site standards to develop executable maintenance plans.
Uses equipment history, failure data, field observations, vendor recommendations, and lessons learned to improve job plans and maintenance effectiveness.
Financial decisions and commitments are governed by the Table of Financial Authorities and applicable procurement processes.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to climb ladders and steps.
Must be able to wearrequiredPPE and perform field walkdowns in operating plant areas.
Must be comfortable working at heights and aroundconfined-spacework environments.
Must be able to access industrial process areas under varying Alberta weather conditions.
Must be capable oflifting upto 50lbswhenrequiredfor inspections or material verification activities.
Formal maintenance planning and scheduling training, SAP PM/CMMS training, or equivalent demonstrated capability.
Mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, rotating equipment, industrial gas, petrochemical, refining, power generation, carbon capture, or related process plant background.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 15 years of maintenance planning,maintenancecoordination, craft, supervision, reliability, or related industrial experience.
Experience in highly hazardous process industries such as hydrogen, industrial gases, petrochemical, refining, power generation, carbon capture, or utilities operations.
Experience using SAP PM and planning tools such as Primavera P6.
