The Practice Capability Coordinator will lead the development of practical companion guides and tiered learning pathways to strengthen practice quality across the organization. They will facilitate practice learning, support a community of practice, and collaborate with clinical leaders and subject matter experts to ensure consistent service delivery.
Candidates must hold a bachelor-level qualification in social work, psychology, or an allied health discipline. Strong writing, content authoring, and facilitation skills are required, along with experience in designing blended learning programs.
We are seeking a Practice Capability Coordinator to play a key role in strengthening practice quality and capability across SSI.
This role sits within SSI’s Practice Quality and Assurance function, which is responsible for defining what good practice looks like, supporting teams to deliver it consistently, and continuously improving practice across the organisation.
As Practice Capability Coordinator, you will lead the development of practical companion guides that translate SSI’s Practice Framework into clear, usable guidance for staff. You will also design and support tiered learning pathways that help staff build confidence and capability in applying practice standards across diverse service contexts.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys writing, learning design, facilitation and working collaboratively with subject matter experts, clinical leaders and practice specialists to create practical resources that make a real difference.
The Practice Capability Coordinator position is a full-time max-term contract until end June 2027.
In this role, you will:
You are a strong communicator, writer and facilitator who can turn complex practice concepts into clear, engaging and practical guidance. You understand human services practice and are confident working with diverse stakeholders to co-design resources and learning that support consistent, high-quality service delivery.
You will bring:
A qualification in adult education, learning and development or instructional design would be highly regarded.
