The Opportunity
The Role
The Senior Data Analyst plays a critical role in delivering high‑impact analytics solutions across the firm. Working closely with partners, associates, and senior business stakeholders, the role leads complex analytical engagements, translating business needs into actionable insight and championing best practice in data analytics.
The role operates with a high degree of autonomy, managing multiple concurrent initiatives, collaborating and sharing knowledge with (junior) team members, and contributing directly to the firm’s reputation for high‑quality, insight‑driven decision‑making.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of analytics at the firm, working on strategic initiatives with senior stakeholders while helping to grow a market‑leading analytics capability.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Delivery
Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of complex analytics initiatives, ensuring high standards of quality, insight, and impact.
Manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously, delivering to agreed timelines and stakeholder expectations.
Identify opportunities to deliver additional value from data by leveraging existing and emerging technologies, driving adoption of new analytical capabilities across the firm.
Analytics & Technical Expertise
Set and oversee best practice for the design and delivery of reports, dashboards, and insight across operational, financial, and performance metrics.
Undertake hands‑on development of complex dashboards and analytical products, demonstrating best‑in‑class data storytelling and visual analytics.
Apply advanced analytical techniques using SQL, Python, and relevant analytics platforms to solve complex business problems.
Incorporate Generative AI and AI‑enabled tools into analytics solutions where appropriate, enhancing efficiency, insight, and automation.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, partners, and leadership teams to understand business challenges and shape analytics roadmaps.
Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives for technical and non‑technical audiences.
Support stakeholders in improving data literacy and confidence in using insights to inform decision‑making.
Governance, Quality & Standards
Develop, implement and adhere to enterprise analytics standards, data quality controls, review practices and governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
Own and continuously improve business‑as‑usual BI and analytics processes, including the definition and tracking of relevant KPIs.
Ensure analytical outputs align with wider firm standards, risk requirements, and delivery frameworks.
Team Development
Contribute to team capability building through knowledge sharing and peer support on advanced analytical tasks.
Promote consistency in analytics practices across the firm, contributing to a cohesive and high‑quality approach to data and insights.
Qualifications, skills and experience
Essential
4+ years’ experience in data or business analytics (professional services or law firm experience preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Advanced skills in data visualisation and dashboarding, with hands-on experience in Power BI or similar tools (e.g. Tableau, QlikView).
Practical experience using Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI‑powered tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot Studio or similar AI assistant platforms) to enhance analytics, automate workflows, or generate insights.
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or equivalent programming language for data analysis, transformation, and automation. Working knowledge of SharePoint, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric, or comparable platforms.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking capability.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines in an Agile environment.
High attention to detail, with strong documentation and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated experience contributing as a (senior) member of an analytics or data team, with the ability to take ownership of complex analytical work.
Desirable
Experience working in a global or distributed team environment.

Experience coaching or line‑managing junior analysts, including identifying development needs.
Ability to translate business and user requirements into technical integration specifications. Experience with APIs (including REST services) and AI integration protocols such as MCP (Model Context Protocol).
