We’re up to some exciting things in Architecture Governance within CTO and our goal is to create a secure environment for the society through modern governance practices. It’s our mission to enhance governance frameworks, mitigate risks and foster a culture of transparency and collaboration. To help us achieve this, our team is growing and we’re seeking a Governance Manager to champion, direct and drive architecture governance for the Nationwide. It’s a key role as you drive technology alignment to the IT / Business Strategy and enterprise policies, standards, patterns and roadmaps.  Are you up for the challenge?

As a Governance Manager within the Chief Technology Office (CTO), you’ll play a key role in shaping how technology decisions are governed across the Society, ensuring they are aligned to strategy, well-controlled and deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes. You’ll operate at the centre of Architecture Governance, working with senior stakeholders to guide solutions from early concept through to delivery, managing risk, driving informed decision-making through data and enabling effective, well-shaped change through core governance processes and forums. By continually improving governance practices and supporting emerging areas, you’ll help ensure Nationwide delivers secure, resilient and customer-focused technology solutions—ultimately supporting better customer experiences and building trust through safe, reliable services

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our London, Swindon, Bournemouth or Northampton offices. If you are aligned to our Glasgow hub (as this is your nearest location), there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events.
