Reliable, Skilled, and Already the Drain Expert Clients Trust?
Are you a plumbing technician whose expertise lies heavily in resolving drain calls? You take pride in diagnosing the real problem instead of just clearing the clog and moving on. The one who shows up on time, treats every home like it's their own, and leaves clients feeling like they got more than what they paid for? If you're ready to be treated like more than just another plumber and want to be a part of a skilled and supportive team, keep reading.
Who This Is For:
A drain and sewer specialist who takes ownership of every drain job from diagnosis to completion.
Someone who's comfortable running a truck independently but knows when to loop in a supervisor.
A technician who explains processes with confidence and clarity to clients instead of leaving them confused or anxious.
Someone who treats camera inspections, hydro-jetting, and snaking as tools for getting it right — not just checking a box.
A team player who wants to grow their skills within a company that invests in training.
What This Role Really Looks Like:
This is a Drain Technician role with our residential/commercial plumbing team, focused on drain and sewer line service from first call to final walkthrough:
Diagnosis & Service
Responds to service calls for clogged, slow, or backed-up drains and sewer lines.
Uses cameras and locators to accurately diagnose root cause (roots, collapse, grease, bellies, etc.).
Performs snaking, hydro-jetting, and drain clearing using proper equipment for the job.
Identifies when a repair (vs. a clear) is needed and clearly communicates that to the client.
Client Communication
Explains findings, options, and pricing in plain language before starting work.
Provides honest and lasting recommendations — not upselling for the sake of it.
Leaves the work area clean and the client confident in the work performed.
Documentation & Follow-Through
Documents diagnostics, camera footage, job notes and proposals accurately in the CRM system.
Accurately completes invoices, photos, and paperwork same-day.
Communicates follow-up needs to dispatch or supervisors (parts, permits, callbacks, etc.).
Equipment & Truck Care
Maintains truck stock, tools, and equipment in good working order.
Reports equipment issues before they become bigger problems.
Follows safety protocols on every job site.
If you need constant hand-holding or don't like being on the road solving different problems every day, this isn't the role for you. If you take pride in your craft, communicate well, and want to be trusted with real responsibility, you'll thrive here.
What You Get Here (That You Don't Get Everywhere Else):
Steady, well-paying work with a company that respects and values your skill.
Ongoing training on new equipment and techniques.
A supportive team and clear path to grow into additional responsibilities.
Trucks and equipment that are well-maintained, not held together with tape.
Leadership that backs you up when a job gets complicated.
Must Haves:
Proven experience in drain cleaning, sewer line service, and general plumbing (drain-specific experience preferred).
Comfortable operating cameras, locators, snakes, and jetters.
Strong communication skills — able to explain technical issues to non-technical clients.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Physically able to perform the work (crawl spaces, lifting equipment, outdoor conditions).
Dependable, punctual, and takes pride in a job done right the first time.
What Success Looks Like:
Drain and sewer issues are correctly diagnosed and resolved without unnecessary return visits.
Clients feel informed and confident in the work performed.
Job documentation and invoicing are complete and accurate same-day.
Equipment is well-maintained and issues are flagged before they cause downtime.
Leadership can send you to any job knowing it'll be handled right on the first visit.
Raising the standard in life and service—because "good enough" is never enough. 💥
