The technician will perform daily laboratory testing, assist project managers with scheduling, and conduct on-site observations and inspections for transportation projects. They are also responsible for maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment while ensuring accurate documentation of all test results.
Candidates should have 2+ years of construction materials testing experience and possess relevant certifications such as ACI and NCDOT. The role requires the physical ability to lift 35-100 pounds and strong written and oral communication skills.
NOVA Engineering is seeking a Construction Materials Laboratory Technician for our Raleigh, NC location. This person will perform daily work in the lab, assist project managers, help with scheduling, and perform other duties as needed. Will Train!
This candidate will be providing quality assurance/quality control testing for a variety transportation projects, but any commercial experience is very beneficial. Successful candidates must perform on site observations/inspections, collect samples per FDOT, ACI, and ASTM requirements, perform specific QA/QC tests on construction materials and transportation components, and maintain detail records of observations, inspections, and test results.
