Perform comprehensive plumbing design tasks and prepare contract documents for domestic water, waste, and special systems. Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to manage Revit models, conduct site observations, and oversee construction administration.
Requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience in building plumbing design, including 5 years of independent layout completion. Proficiency in Revit MEP and knowledge of IBC and ASPE codes are essential.
Description
As a Senior Plumbing Designer, you will perform plumbing design tasks thru preparation of contract documents under supervision of one or more licensed engineers. Tasks will be in support of architectural and engineering projects related to plumbing design for domestic water, waste/vent, storm water, natural gas, medical gas, and other special systems work.
Senior Plumbing Designers work as part of a multi-discipline team performing plumbing design during all phases of multiple simultaneous projects. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature with Mechanical Engineers. Mechanical Engineers will provide supervisory approval on proposed project plans. Assignments will include performing design calculations, interpreting and preparing reports, and producing deliverable drawing sets consisting of under-floor, floor, and roof plans, building sections, riser diagrams, details and schedules and completing plumbing related specifications.
