About the Position:
We offer flexible work schedules, ranging from 20 to 40 hours per week, the opportunity to earn paid vacation time and overtime in the first few months of employment, and we accommodate school schedules. Most opportunities provide for a six-month season, and, in some instances, up to 9 months.
Our Turf Maintenance crews work in nearly all our 36 developed parks, two municipal cemeteries, and other City properties. Skills learned on these crews will focus on mowing, string trimming, edging, and chemical control of turf areas. Our crews also manage topdressing of turf, aeration, reseeding, complete turf renovations, and new construction. This position is a safety-sensitive position, which means you will be subject to random drug screens due to the nature of the work performed.
