Perform structural analysis and detailed design of steel frames, concrete members, and foundations for power transmission modifications and upgrades. Coordinate with clients and project managers to provide technical specifications, perform independent reviews, and propose facility upgrades.
Requires a BSCE or MSCE from an ABET-approved program and at least 7 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably with electrical substations. Proficiency in structural design software and familiarity with IBC, ASCE, AISC, and ACI standards are essential.
WORK LOCATION: This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week at the Sargent & Lundy office in Peachtree Corners, GA.
This position will offer you the ability to directly apply your knowledge of materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design. As a member of an engineering and design team, you will work on a wide range of power transmission modifications and upgrades to support client recommendations and reviews including creating calculations, document designs, and specifications.
