General Description and Classification Standards:
BIM Coordinator assists in the development, implementation and oversight of Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards, workflows, and technologies for airport design, construction, and asset management. Working under the BIM Manager of the Department of Aviation, Planning & Development (DOA/P&D), this position is responsible for the technical coordination of multi-disciplinary models across project cycles to ensure that all information exchange workflows align with ISO 19650 principles and designers and contractors are adhering to the DOA/P&D BIM Standards and Project Specific BIM Execution Plan.
Supervision Received:
This position requires work to be completed independently with minimum supervision.Direction received focuses on strategic objectives and is typically collaborative in nature.This position assists in carrying out the direction set forth within the division. Work methods and assignment results are typically reviewed by a more experienced professional or a manager prior to final action.
