The Medical Assistant supports physicians by managing patient flow, performing diagnostic procedures like EKGs and phlebotomy, and documenting vital signs and medical history. They also act as a liaison to ensure patient satisfaction and maintain clinical supply inventory for the office.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and obtain Medical Assistant and BLS certifications within the specified timeframes. Experience in a physician office or healthcare setting is preferred, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
