Simple Staffing is hiring for this position on behalf of Oak Tree Intervention Services LLC
Oaktree Intervention Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Therapist to support students in developing effective communication skills necessary for academic and social success. This role involves working closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. The Speech-Language Therapist will design and implement individualized intervention plans to enhance students' verbal and non-verbal communication abilities in a school setting. You will provide services for Pre-School Children and Mileage Reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, fluency, and communication disorders in school-aged children.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans (IEPs and 504 Plans) tailored to each student's needs.
Provide direct therapy services, including articulation therapy, language intervention, and social communication strategies.
Conduct screenings and evaluations to identify speech and language development delays.
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure measurable improvements.
Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate speech and language support into the classroom setting.
Train teachers and support staff on communication strategies to facilitate student participation and success.
Recommend and implement assistive technology or augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices as needed.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational accommodations and modifications.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Current licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of practice.
Experience working with school-aged children, providing speech and language therapy services.
Strong understanding of speech and language development, articulation therapy, and language processing strategies.
Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educational teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students, families, and educators.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other communication challenges.
Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and assistive technology.
Familiarity with IEP and 504 Plan development and implementation.
Training in fluency disorders, social communication strategies, and phonological processing interventions.
