The Medical Assistant serves as the first point of contact for patients, handling both administrative tasks and clinical duties. Responsibilities include documenting symptoms in EMR, taking vitals, administering injections, and maintaining examination rooms.
Candidates must have completed an MA program or be a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with at least one year of experience. Required certifications include CPR, and experience in phlebotomy and medication administration is essential.
As a Medical Assistant you will perform clinical tasks such as:
You will document patient symptoms in EMR
You will take and record vital signs
You will administer injections
You will perform diagnostic tests
You will collect specimens and draw blood
You will sterilize equipment
You will maintain examination rooms
Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
1+ years of MA experience
Phlebotomy experience
Medication/vaccine administration experience
CPR Certified
Certified or Registered
Value-based Care experience includes knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00
