Cybermedia Technologies (CTEC) is seeking an experienced Technical Writer II to join our team
PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
CISA’s Stakeholder Engagement Division requires an integrated team to support council and sector governance, approximately 500 annual engagements, stakeholder coordination, policy and risk analysis, executive communications, records, and contract management. The work spans unclassified and classified environments and requires products that are accurate, accessible, compliant, and ready for government use.
POSITION SUMMARY Develop, edit, and quality-control executive, technical, and advisory-committee products for CISA. The writer must understand complex cyber, critical-infrastructure, and policy discussions, including classified content, and turn them into clear, accurate, publication-ready deliverables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Write and edit executive summaries, meeting records, reports, studies, memoranda, briefing materials, white papers, and other technical products. • Attend classified and unclassified meetings, capture thorough notes, and prepare accurate notes for the record. • Edit committee and council products for clarity, structure, accuracy, consistency, tone, and compliance with applicable style guides. • Use Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Drupal, and related publishing tools to create templates and final deliverables. • Create and remediate Section 508-compliant documents and support accessible graphics, tables, and presentation materials. • Manage complex document packages through drafting, review, comment adjudication, approval, version control, and publication. • Verify facts, terminology, citations, formatting, and alignment with DHS/CISA standards. • Coordinate closely with SMEs, analysts, executives, and government reviewers under short deadlines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • 5+ years experience in technical writing, substantive editing, and publication of complex federal or technical content. • Demonstrated experience creating Section 508-compliant documents. • Exceptional grammar, organization, synthesis, and quality-control skills. • Ability to accurately capture technical or policy discussions and preserve meaning while improving readability. • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI; U.S. citizenship required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience with CISA/DHS, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, or federal advisory committees. • Familiarity with federal or DHS-specific style guides. • Advanced proficiency with Word styles/templates, Acrobat remediation, and Drupal publishing.
CLEARANCE: • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI; U.S. citizenship required.
WHAT CANDIDATES SHOULD UNDERSTAND • Work is expected to be onsite in Arlington, Virginia; approved telework may be available only as authorized by the Government. • Positions are contingent upon contract award and successful completion of applicable security or suitability processing. • For cleared positions, the recruiting requirement is an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI—not necessarily current SCI access on day one. • For suitability positions, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable DHS Fitness Determination. Prior DHS service may help, but a previous Public Trust is not automatically transferable or guaranteed to reactivate.
PAY RANGE- $95,000–$120,000 Annually + Benefits(Compensation and employment offer are negotiable and will be finalized based on the candidate's relevant experience and interview assessment.
