The SVP, Product Growth is responsible for accelerating growth across existing products while identifying and developing new market opportunities. This role oversees the full product growth portfolio, ensuring investments are focused on the highest value opportunities that are mission aligned, scale social impact, strengthen long-term competitiveness, and drive revenue. The SVP, Product Growth defines where and how the enterprise grows, guiding expansion, innovation, and portfolio optimization at an enterprise level.
Responsibilities:
Defines the long-term vision and strategy for growing the enterprise’s product portfolio, determining where to invest to maximize enterprise value, mission and social impact, and revenue potential.
Oversees the performance and growth trajectory of existing products, identifying opportunities to expand reach, increase adoption, and unlock new sources of value.
Leads the identification, evaluation, and incubation of new product opportunities, ensuring a strong pipeline of future growth aligned to market needs and enterprise priorities.
Defines how product growth is executed across the enterprise, including governance, prioritization frameworks, performance management, and decision-making structures.
Provides executive oversight across the product lifecycle from opportunity identification through scaling and optimization ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across the portfolio.
Leverages market trends, competitive insights, and partnerships to identify new avenues for growth and maintain a strong external orientation.
Partners with business leads to integrate and communicate recommendations of digital products across AARP platforms and experiences.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Product Management, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in product management, product growth, business strategy, innovation, portfolio management, or related disciplines, including executive-level responsibility for enterprise growth initiatives.
Demonstrated success defining and executing enterprise-wide growth strategies that expand market presence, drive revenue, increase customer adoption, and deliver measurable business and mission outcomes.
Proven experience leading large and complex product portfolios, including investment strategy, portfolio optimization, governance, prioritization, and performance management across multiple business lines.
Extensive experience identifying, evaluating, and scaling new market opportunities, product innovations, and growth ventures, with a track record of bringing concepts from ideation through commercialization and growth.
Strong financial and strategic acumen, including experience overseeing business cases, investment decisions, revenue growth, budgeting, forecasting, ROI analysis, and long-term value creation initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to leverage market intelligence, customer insights, competitive analysis, partnerships, and emerging industry trends to inform growth strategies and maintain competitive advantage.
Exceptional executive leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with a proven ability to align senior leaders around strategic priorities, drive organizational transformation, and achieve sustainable enterprise growth.
