We are currently seeking Consumer Protection & Regulatory Attorneys to work with our clients at some of the world’s largest and Fortune 500 companies across multiple industries.
The ideal candidate will have experience advising businesses on consumer protection and regulatory matters, with a background in one or more of the following areas: financial consumer protection; consumer product regulatory; or product safety and compliance. Candidates do not need experience across all areas.
Responsibilities:
Advise clients on consumer protection laws, regulations, and compliance requirements affecting their products, services, marketing, and business operations.
Provide guidance on interactions with federal and state regulators, regulatory inquiries, examinations, investigations, and evolving consumer protection requirements.
Review consumer-facing marketing, advertising, disclosures, terms, and product claims for legal and regulatory compliance.
Partner with legal, compliance, marketing, product, risk, and business teams to identify and mitigate consumer protection and regulatory risks.
Qualifications:
5+ years of legal experience in consumer protection, financial services regulation, consumer product regulation, product safety, or related regulatory matters, preferably with in-house experience
Experience advising on consumer financial services and lending regulations and/or consumer product regulatory requirements
Experience with relevant regulatory frameworks or agencies, which may include CFPB, FTC, CPSC, FDA, or state regulators, depending on area of practice
Experience with consumer lending, fintech, payments, product claims, advertising, labeling, product safety, recalls, or related regulatory matters is a plus
Active attorney license in good standing with a U.S. state bar
Compensation:
The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 per year and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year.Compensation decisions are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs. Employees may be eligible for additional benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance; paid holidays and PTO; flexible work arrangements; and professional development opportunities and tools.
