Support the delivery of podium works by coordinating trade activities and monitoring program performance. Ensure project documentation, quality assurance, and HSE requirements meet company standards while managing relationships with subcontractors and consultants.
Requirements
Requires experience as a Project Engineer in a main contractor environment, specifically on complex commercial or mixed-use projects. A tertiary qualification in construction management or engineering is preferred.
Full job description
Mirvac’s purpose is to reimagine urban life. For more than 50 years, we’ve been shaping Australia’s urban landscape through projects and places that leave a lasting legacy for our customers, communities and people.
As a leading integrated property group, we bring together development, construction, asset creation and placemaking to deliver high-quality outcomes across the full property lifecycle. Our people are at the heart of that success, and we are committed to creating an environment where you can bring your expertise, grow your career and help build something that matters.
Join us as we continue to build the imagine nation.
Your opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer – Podium to join our high-performing construction team at 55 Pitt Street, one of Mirvac’s landmark commercial developments in the heart of Sydney’s Circular Quay precinct. With frontages to Pitt, Underwood and Dalley Streets, 55 Pitt Street will deliver approximately 63,000 square metres of premium commercial and activated retail space, contributing to the revitalisation of one of Sydney’s most iconic CBD locations.
In this role, you will support the successful delivery of the podium works, working closely with the broader site team, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers to drive safe, high-quality and efficient construction outcomes. You will play a key role in coordinating trade activities, monitoring programme performance, supporting procurement and ensuring project documentation, quality assurance and HSE requirements are delivered to Mirvac’s standards.
You will also contribute to a positive and collaborative site culture, helping build strong relationships across the project team while supporting the development of cadets and team members as they grow their construction careers at Mirvac.
Your point of difference
·Experience in a Project Engineer or similar site-based construction role, ideally within a main contractor environment on complex commercial, mixed-use or major building projects
·A relevant tertiary qualification in construction management, engineering or a related discipline is preferred
·Strong planning, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced site environment
·A collaborative working style and the confidence to build trusted relationships with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders
·A genuine commitment to safety, quality and delivering work that creates long-term value for customers and communities
What sets us apart
·A culture where people are proud to work, supported by strong engagement, collaboration and a shared sense of purpose
·Opportunities to grow your career through on-the-job learning, leadership development and programs such as Mirvac Masters
·Access to a broad range of benefits across health, wellbeing, lifestyle, travel, technology and more
·Annual Mirvac Securities as part of our employee benefits offering
·The opportunity to contribute to a landmark project and help create a positive legacy in the communities where we operate
If this role sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply and tell us what you can bring to Mirvac.
Mirvac is a leading Australian property group, with an integrated development and management capability.
Established in 1972, Mirvac has over 50 years of experience in the property industry and an unmatched reputation for delivering superior products and services across our businesses.
Principally located in Australia's four key cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, we own and manage assets across the office, retail and industrial sectors, with over $17bn of assets currently under management. Our development activities allow us to create and deliver innovative and high-quality commercial assets and residential projects for our customers, while driving long-term value for our securityholders.
Our integrated approach gives us a competitive advantage in the creation of quality assets across the entire life-cycle of a project; from planning through to design, construction and development, leasing, property management and long-term ownership.
Our purpose, to Reimagine Urban Life, helps to guide us not only in what we do and how we do it, but importantly, why we do it. We're inspired to think about how we can redefine the landscape and create more sustainable, connected and vibrant urban environments, leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come.
We bring this purpose to life by harnessing the power of each and every one of us to deliver outstanding products and services to our customers, while ensuring value to our securityholders.
