The Research Technician will execute experiments, maintain data, and provide research support for the Applied Genomics Centre. They will also assist in training student researchers and generating standard operating procedures.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or a related discipline. Relevant experience in genomics or metabolomics is required, with research experience considered an asset.
This role reports to Director, Applied Genomics Centre.
The Research Technician has a supportive role for research goals of the Applied Genomics Centre (AGC). This individual will support applied research projects under the supervision and direction of the AGC Director, Laboratory and Research Coordinator, and senior research staff. Where appropriate, they may also help supervise and train student researchers working in the AGC laboratories, or in the field as applicable. They will contribute to experimental design, perform laboratory tasks, and communicate results to the Director, Associates, and industry partners.
Anticipated hourly pay rate: $24.00 - $28.00
